{ Thank You HOUZZ ! }

I found out the other day that The Painted Home has been voted by the Houzz community as a winner of their first-ever "Best of Remodeling" awards!
I was completely shocked and thrilled.

My work won in the "Design" category, and my portfolio included some of the most popular images on Houzz. You can see all the award-winning work in this

I'm completely stunned that my work is placed side by side with such great local Philadelphia Designers and Architects.

{ Refreshed Foyer }

I recently spent some time at Carrie's house freshining her foyer.

She has 3 young children, and this is their main entrance. So, it was a minor hot mess.

It still needs a fresh coat of paint, but here's what we added so far...

Some shelves by the door to drop mail and keys and such. The basket swill help hold all these without it looking like a mess

We also hung some art work for a little personality.

The shelves were made from vintage books and brackets from IKEA.
(if you look closely you'll see the title of this book "Historic Philadelphia"...which is were Carrie lives, perf, ehh?)

We also installed this round distressed mirror to reflect the light and add some curves to the space.
The bench was custom made by John Duffy @ Stable Tables.
We'll add another basket under there to corall more shoes.

We also added some vintage books to her son's room to hold his trophys.

Louis had a little nook in is room that was just dead space. So, we used that space to display his trophies.

Design Consultations
{ e - decorating }

e - decorating is a service provided to clients who need inspiration & direction for spaces in their homes.

it's simple, fresh, & budget friendly.

you will receive a design plan which details step-by-step exactly what needs to be done to complete your room.

the plan includes a mood board with the following information ~

paint color choices
floor plan
furniture suggestions
floor & window covering ideas
lighting options
accessory suggestions, placement, finishing touches
fabric suggestions
whenever possible I will provide actual samples of the materials being used
shopping lists of links to purchase recommended products

Everything you need to pull your room together will be

e-mailed to you.

How to get started ~

email me with your room choice, photos & dimensions of the room { PaintedHome@gmail.com }
submit payment thru PayPal or mail a check {$150. per room}
I will contact you with a list of questions pertaining to your likes/dislikes, goal/use of this room, budget, etc... {all discussions will take place over email}
I will begin the design process of creating your room. {approximately 2 weeks for completion}
