In case you were wondering what I've been up to (aside from Project Run and Play). I've been busy creating new looks for spring such as........
This design is not particularly new to my shop, but the color scheme is for sure. I love the pretty aqua green and periwinkle. This dress is fully lined and so comfortable. It is a one-of-a-kind and available in size 2T.
I'm loving the Strawberry Knot Dress for spring. I think the colors are unique for a little girl and the blue is just beautiful.
This is a fun little apron skirt available in size 4/5. The apron has a woven, vintage-inspired trim and the bottom is trimmed with picot edging. The skirt is flat front to reduce bulk and has an elastic back for a perfect fit.
This is my personal favorite. It is inspired by the dress I created for my daughter, Matilda's, first birthday. The A-line dress is fully lined and is secured at the shoulders with two buttons on each side. The bottom of the dress has three ruffles and a coordinating fabric bow completes the look. Available in size 2T.
All of these items can be found in my etsy shop, The Cottage Mama: www.thecottagemama.com
So I've also been busy filling custom orders as well. I still have one more to go, but I'm feeling pretty good.
Custom REVERSIBLE 1960's Inspired Jumper
This dress is similar to the Retro Mod Jumper that was pictured first, but this dress crosses in the back and is in this lovely spring floral fabric.
Custom orders ready to be boxed up for shipping.
So, I haven't just been sitting around eating bon-bons (though, that sounds pretty nice)........it's been busy around here, to say the least. I've got something else in the works as well, but I'll let you all know about that one next week.
I wanted to share one last thing with you before I go. My friend, Katy from "No Big Dill" invited me to participate in her super-fun "Once Upon a Thread" blog series that she is doing during the month of March. Basically, she has invited a great group of bloggers (you must check out the line up!) to come up with fashion inspired by our favorite children's books. Katy kicked it off today with a "Harold and the Purple Crayon" inspired coat - SO adorable! I won't tell you what book I've chosen (I'll let that be a surprise), but you might be able to guess. I'm slotted for week 4 and I can't wait to get started on my look!
