There is a trend in France, that has caught on fast with the young and not so young. It ties in with brocante, and vintage and the industrial look. It is all about comfortable living, about being elegant while keeping it simple, about more for less; about enjoying but not flaunting ...
let's just say that it is French ....
This home was featured recently in Journal de la Maison, and typifies this fashionable approach. Using vintage furniture, having fun and looking young.
There are few rules, vintage and even antique can be mixed with industrial. Colour palettes are dark and neutral. Wood is often painted, metal is often stripped.
What do you think? Is this a style you would happily move into, or does it look too staged? Does it maybe look too French?! Do you long for a softer look, with a few more frills?

I know how I feel on the subject , but I'd love to know what you think...
PS Vicki Archer has given a new look to her blog and website French Essence and she's having a very generous giveaway to celebrate. You can check it out here!
